Media service EUrVOTE posts widgets for the European election

Which parties in the European Parliament are favoured by voters across the continent? Which candidates must reckon with losing their support? And how will the seats in the chamber be distributed among the individual member states? Ahead of the European Parliament election from May 23 to 26, the media service EUrVOTE (http://EUrVOTE.eu) is providing a series of interactive widgets for use by online editorial teams free of charge.

Media service EUrVOTE posts widgets for the European election

In the run-up to the election the tools will feature the latest opinion surveys from the EU member states, a survey of the European parties’ top candidates, as well as an overview of the most important political issues in the time immediately following the election. Starting with the first voting projections, the widgets will visualize in real-time the results from all member states as well as the distribution of seats in the next EU Parliament.

As with the previous information packages published by the media service EUrVOTE, editorial teams may use these widgets free of charge for their online reporting and, using adaptable embed codes, post them on their own websites. All the widgets are responsive and therefore customisable.

An overview of all available widgets can be found here: http://dpaq.de/hgVkc

Tax advisors view technology as paramount in responding to client needs and uncertainty in the wake of Brexit

New research from Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting UK reveals Brexit uncertainty is driving move to increased advisory services

London, UK, 3rd July, 2019 – Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting UK has today announced its most recent industry survey findings of more than 100 UK based accountancy firms, which show how accountancy firms are changing as Brexit unfolds. Almost half of those who responded (45%) indicated that they are planning to offer more advisory services to support clients during this time of uncertainty, including cash flow forecasting or recession planning.

The accounting profession has had to become more flexible to accommodate the uncertainties around Brexit, with many accountants in practice revealing that they have seen a notable increase in the number of clients turning to them for advice on the various risks posed by the UK’s planned exit from the European Union. For some advisors, Brexit has already impacted business planning decisions. Many businesses are making less ambitious revenue forecasts, while others have held off on investments to focus on the risks posed by each potential outcome.

Technology revealed itself to be a critical aspect for future focused practices looking to support their clients’ Brexit driven requirements, with nearly 86% of respondents identifying it as important, or critical to future success. Nearly a quarter (24%) of them also identified that they would be looking into offering training to existing employees when they had more certainty surrounding the short and long-term effects of Brexit on business.

The new findings come off the back of an uncertain economic outlook, as suggested by the FT’s annual survey[1], where the majority of the 81 economists polled on their predictions surrounding the UK economy for 2019 were unable to make firm predictions for growth due to Brexit uncertainties.

The Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting UK survey found that, when asked to identify their top area of concern regarding Brexit, nearly 57% pointed to customs, excise and VAT procedures if the UK exits with no deal. This was followed by 15% identifying suppressed economic activity and a further 10% identifying a possible delay to Making Tax Digital for income tax as a top concern.

Overall Brexit business impact sentiment amongst industry respondents was divided, with 19% indicating that they believed Brexit presents opportunities, and 38% indicating they felt rather concerned as to future uncertainty. On a positive note, 57% of all those surveyed viewed Brexit as a possible opportunity to attract both new business and clients.

Matt Crook, Managing Director Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting UK commented, “While there continue to be uncertainties, Brexit offers many opportunities for accountants. They are being asked to provide new services as a result of Brexit, and those who capitalize on the opportunity will be in an excellent position to help their clients to flourish.”

He continued, “Technology that supports advisors in addressing their clients’ Brexit-driven requirements is also set to play a pivotal role in the practice of the future, and if companies can embrace this to improve operational resilience and agility, they will be in the best possible position to rise to the challenges Brexit may present. We work side-by-side with our customers to help them realize their potential, delivering technology for the real world.”

[1] Economists predict the UK economy’s trajectory in 2019: The FT polled 81 economists about prospects for 2019. Overall, they were pessimistic about 2019, with almost all forecasting that uncertainty around Brexit will hobble economic growth in the short term. Most said it was impossible to make any forecasts with certainty; those who ventured predictions said that growth would likely remain at its current, lacklustre level of 1.5%.

Bio-Active Septic Tank Treatment

Bio-Active is another brand of septic tank treatment that is available in some stores or larger online websites.  It is a powdered treatment designed to be used monthly to maintain a healthy, smooth running system.  While the Bio-Active brand ( ydravlikos ) may not be recognizable to you, they have carved out a decent reputation within the industry, and were certainly a nice addition to have on this review site.

We actually purchased the item online through a RV website.  As many of you readers know, RV’s and other motor homes need to utilize a sewer or septic treatment to keep their systems running smooth and odor free.  And when you are in an RV, the tight quarters demand an effective treatment.

We decided to run a comparison test with Bio-Active and our Best Sewer Treatment.  We wanted to see how they would compare in the poorly functioning, clogging system of an RV.  We put Bio-Active to the test first and while it took a bit of time for it to begin working, it did, eventually, get the job done.

While Bio-Active did treat the system, the speed in which it did so was a disappointment.  In our mind it was clear that our Best Sewer Treatment was the best option, hands down, for RV users and motor home aficionados.

While Bio-Active has an attractive price, it is just not built to handle serious back up or foul conditions.  If your septic system is less than a year old and has never shown any symptoms of a problem, then perhaps using Bio-Active to maintain  your system is advisable.  But if your septic system is older than that, or has had any signs of backups at all, it just makes more sense to choose from any number of products that are better equipped for your particular needs.

Whether in an RV or treating your home septic system, your main goal is to save yourself the cost of having to replace your system.  While buying some of the less expensive treatments seems like a good idea, in our experience it winds up costing you a lot more in the long run.  Choose your sewer treatments wisely, your family and neighbors will thank you.

The Unexpected Delay of the iPad Pro

With the issues faced by Apple regarding the production of the iPad Pro, no analyst is sure about when the new 12.9 inch device will be released. The latest news reported that the main issue is due to the fact that Apple produced a lot amount of iPhone 6 Plus. Most of the analysts predict that the new 12.9 inch iPad will be available on late October or early November. However, it is clear enough that Apple focuses on satisfying the needs for the product that has been announced.

The Main Issue of iPad Pro Delay

The main problem why Apple has to wait a bit longer to release the new iPad Pro is mainly because of the limited number of workers they have. It seems that Apple needs extra supports if the company really wants to make a faster release. The implication of the big issue is that the manufacturer is not really prepared for the mass productions. Of course, this should be the source of evaluation for a leading company like Apple in order to avoid the similar problems in the future.

Facing the current issue, some believe that Apple will not announce the iPad Pro even in the upcoming event. However, it is important to remember that Apple may make an official announcement stating that the device will go on sale later. Apple did this with the Apple Watch. In fact, the announcement of the Apple Watch was quite awesome as Apple could keep the secrecy of the product.

What to keep in mind about the iPad Pro is that this product is predicted to give Apple the potential sales in the future. There is a strong expectation that the new device can help Apple to re-increase their sales that have been decreasing for couple months. Well, let’s be patient a little bit more for the new 12.9 inch device to be announced.
